Spring Joy!

It’s been one heck of a winter, hasn’t it? The Spring Equinox has just arrived, bringing with it warmer temps and new energy! I am very happy to see spring and the word that comes to mind often is Joy! I am joyful to see the snow and ice retreat and watch little green shoots emerge from the gardens. I am joyful about being able to walk outside again and feel the breeze, breathe the fresh air and get more exercise.

I absolutely love knitting with warm weather yarns like linen, cotton and bamboo. I want to add beads to all of them as well. This one skein, beaded cowl is a nice accessory as the warmer weather approaches. It may be worn in any direction. Make one for yourself or a family member. Say thank you to a dear friend by knitting one for them.
I hope you enjoy the pattern!

Materials
One skein (50 grams, 136 yards) of Stacy Charles Yarns, Nina, 77% Linen,
25% Cotton. Worsted weight yarn.
Size 7 circular needles in 24” length. Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
20 grams (approximately 300) TOHO 6/0 round seed beads.
Floss threader for beading and a beading surface.
The cowl is approximately 6” deep x 32” in circumference. Gauge 4 sts./in.

As much as I love, love, love adding beads to knitting, it is optional to do so.

I hope you have much Spring Joy!
