Spring is in the air so lets go party!!!
Let us celebrate Spring and Love with a new Crochet Along. Spring means the reborn of nature. Flowers and trees bloom and animals find their soulmates and give birth. All is about beauty, love and life.
Spring Love ran as a CAL (Crochet ALong)!!!
As all my other patterns, Spring Love is a very relaxing one that can be made by all crocheters, with different skills. It uses overlay mosaic crochet. For the newbies to crochet or mosaic crochet there is a tutorial with lots of photos to guide you.
The blanket is divided into 6 parts. The first 5 parts will create the blanket body. The last part will be dedicated to the border. There are 11 different patterns distributed in the first 5 parts of the blanket. You can play with the patterns or repeats to create a bigger or smaller blankie or to create other house decor itens. You can also add patterns from my Hello Spring design as they use the same stitches repeat.
All information about materials, size, stitches and pattern notes are in the Introduction File. Also a mosaic tutorial and border tutorial are available in this file.
Pattern is written in English (US Terms). It has a Spanish, German and Dutch translation, and a left-handed version too. It has step-by-step written instructions, a mosaic tutorial and a border tutorial with photos for every row and steps, charts, and lots of pictures to guide you through all the CAL parts.
As my previous mosaic CALs, this pattern is great to help you reduce your yarn stash. Colourful blankets are always gorgeous.
Spring Love CAL is hosted in Oneskeinoflove Designs - Mosaic Crochet group, on Facebook. You are so very welcome to join, share your progress photos or doubts. The group is a a very welcoming and helpful one.
Materials
In my sample I used a cream yarn (Sirdar Snuggly DK) and a colourful gradient Aran yarn (Sirdar Jewelspun Aran). Despite the different yarn weight they match perfectly. You are free to use whatever yarn and hook you want, and all the colours you want. It is all up to you.
Finishing Size
The final size of the blanket is 92 cm x 131 cm (36” x 52”), approximately. You can customize the size of your blanket by adding or decreasing repeats of the pattern, but keep in mind that this will affect the amount of yarn required.
