The Spring Melt Scarf is a fun infinity scarf that starts with a provisional cast on, is knit flat and then joined with a three needle bind off. The textures and patterns in the Spring Melt Scarf spill down the garment like a mountain brook that swells from the melting snow in the spring. The cables and bobbles represent the water, roots, rocks and current in the brook.

Hiking is one of my favorite outdoor activities. Moving through nature is continually inspiring. Passing from dark, forested trails to bright, wind-swept peaks exposes me to multitudes of colors & textures. I love to gather these multi-sensual experiences and incorporate them into my creative visions. I often stop by a mountain stream to catch my breath, and gather my energy for the next climb. This is the scene represented by the Spring Melt Scarf.

The cable patterns in the Spring Melt Scarf are easy to learn and fun to knit. The mYak yarn, which is dedicated to sustainability, social responsibility and quality, is wonderful to work with and comes in a wide variety of beautiful colors.
