The Spring Path cowl is worked using a twined knitting technique by knitting and purling crook stitches in a chain path using two colours. The result of knitting in this manner is a plush reversible fabric, where each colour is prominent on opposite sides.

The cowl is worked in the round carrying the MC and CC at the same time. The MC will always stay in front of the work to perform purl stitches, while the CC will always stay at the back of the work to perform knit stitches. There is a section illustrating this technique at the end of the pattern.
