Spring Rose Necklace
Yarn and hook: less than 20 gr for all flowers. Sport yarn of your choice (I love working with Tango and Phil Cotton 3) and a 3 mm hook (UK 11/ US D). Left over yarn is perfect for this project. Mind that you can use whatever yarn size/weight (and relevant hook for that weight) you have at hand; that will only influence the size of your flower – hence smaller weights of yarn will yield smaller flowers, heavier weights will produce big/large flowers.
Other: Tapestry needle for weaving ends, sewing needle for sewing the beads and flowers together, pearl beads (15), metal jump rings (12), a long chain (your preference).
Stitches in American terminology: chain (ch), chain space (ch-sp), stitch (st.), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), 3-chain picot.
The tutorial contains patterns for 2 types of roses, 1 anemone and 1 fan. Please note that you can make more flowers using separate rounds. For example, you can use each round from the biggest, three-layered rose to make 3 roses different in size and appearance. When working on your piece, do not hesitate to experiment and play with colors and yarn weights.
