These Spring inspired socks feature a mountain landscape with pink spring trees and crops (strawberries, parsnips, blue jazz and tulips.)
These socks are worked cuff-down starting with 1x1 rib, followed by a colorwork leg. There are 4 leg charts for each of the 4 sizes. The short row heel is knit in one color, followed by the colorwork foot. There are 2 foot charts - 1 for the small & medium size foot length, and 1 for large & x-large size foot length. The toe is finished in one color and grafted together.
Note that there are a few rounds where you’ll need to hold 3 colors at once. You can choose to add the 3rd color after the sock is finished using duplicate stitch.
Note on yarn: I used Palette due to its wide color range, but note that it doesn’t contain any nylon. So these are not meant to be hard-wearing socks but instead “keep your feet cozy while you lay in bed knitting more socks” type of socks! If you plan on heavy usage, you might want to sub in a yarn that contains nylon. Palette makes a pretty hefty sock though compared to regular sock yarn so if you sub regular sock yarn I highly recommending going up a size, or at least be super sure you are obtaining gauge with your needle size.
Other seasons:
Summer (The Sun Can Bend an Orange Sky)
Fall (The Smell of Mushrooms)
Winter (The Wind Can Be Still)
Sizing: Small (Medium, Large, X-Large)
To fit foot circumference: 8 (9, 10, 11)” / 20 (23, 25.5, 28) cm
Finished sock measurements:
Foot circumference: 7.5 (8.5, 9.5, 10.5)” / 19 (21.5, 24, 26.5) cm
Foot length (adjustable): 8.25 (9, 10.25, 11)” / 21 (23, 26, 28.5) cm
Cuff circumference: 8.5 (9.5, 10.5, 11.75)” / 21.5 (24, 26.5, 30) cm
Leg height: approx 9” / 23 cm from the heel up
Cuff will stretch for a wider leg and will fit with 1-2 inches of negative ease. Foot circumference should measure approx .5” less than actual foot.
Complete color list is below for all 4 seasons. Many yarns are used for more than one season, so keep this in mind if you decide to substitute. I tried to reuse colors as much as possible, but all seasons do have some unique colors to be accurate to the game. 1 ball each is enough to make all 4 seasons.

If you’d like to reduce colors for Spring, I recommend…
Substitute Semolina in place of Turmeric
Substitute Cotton Candy in place of Fuchsia
Substitute Pimento in place of Garnet Heather
Alternative yarns
If KnitPicks isn’t available where you live or you otherwise want to sub yarn, here are some other brands that have lots of color choices you could look into. Some knitters have also made socks entirely out of scrap yarn.
Lang Yarns Jawoll (knitter Hillise added her color subs list on the project page here!)
Wollmeise Twin (knitter Vindobona has a list of color subs and yardage on the project page here!)
Uni Merino Minis
Hobbii Sock Yarn
Drops Fable
KnitPicks Stroll - this is sock yarn that has a lot of the same colorways as Palette
GreatBritishYarns.co.uk - a retailer in Scotland that stocks Palette
Errata
March 2024: Leg chart was missing a row of Grass worked at the very bottom as Row 62. The pattern has been updated to include this row.
