SPRING TIDES was born out of a collaboration with Nanacindy NZ, an amazing indie dyer here in New Zealand. It features a twisted wave panel which can be worn centrally or to the side. This pattern works in ANY yarn. Solid, gradient, semi solids and variegated. It’s written in 3 sizes for both 4ply and dk(8ply) yarns. Both options are included in the one pattern. Iv’e really enjoyed designing this pattern and i hope you enjoy making it.
What you will need:
DK/8PLY:
Yarn:
Nanacindy NZ Superwash wool 217m/100gm
100gm or less
Equipment: 3.5mm & 4.0mm 30-40cm circular
Fingering/4PLY:
Yarn:
Nanacindy NZ Superwash Merino 333m/100gm
70gm or less
Equipment: 2.5mm & 3.25mm 30-40cm circular
DPNs or long cable for magic loop crown.
X3 Stitch markers.
Darning needle
Balloon for blocking
GAUGE (Stocking stitch)
DK/8Ply = 22st/10cm on 4.0mm
Fingering/4ply = 28st/10cm on 3.25mm

Knitting in the round
Abbreviations used:
SM: Stitch Marker
PM: Place Marker
SOR: Start of Round
K1TBL: Insert R needle through back of stitch, wrap the yarn to knit, complete stitch as usual.
K: Knit
P: Purl
K2TOG: Knit two stitches together
S1: Slip one stitch as if to knit
YO: Yarn over
SSK: slip the first stitch as if to knit, slip the second stitch as if to knit, then slide the left-hand needle into the front part of both stitches and knit them together.
PSSO: Insert the left needle into the stitch that you slipped, pick up the stitch with your left needle and carefully lift it over top of the stitch to its left, Drop the stitch from the left needle.
