Spring Vines
Taken down.
This year hardly seems to have been a winter at all. With 80s in mid-March (a rarity in the Midwest), the lace bug bit a bit early this year. The happy coincidence of super soft lace yarn and renewed interested in traditional Estonian lace knitting turned out this shawl. Complex enough to keep interest as you go through the repeats, but simple enough to take on the go, this shawl offers a bit of shoulder cover through the cooler spring nights.
There are two sizes available--3 by 11 or 4 by 11. Both will require 1410 yards, as the 3 by 11 is only slightly smaller in width and you’ll use nearly all the yarn in the 4 x 11.
The edge is sewn on in the traditional Estonian manner, with instructions included for how to do this for both sizes.
