Spring Windows
A free version is also available.
This is an ad-free version of a free pattern available on my blog.
• DESCRIPTION: Using simple stitches (just ch, SC, and DC) allows you to create a beautiful open fabric. The small openings give it a feminine twist while the solid sections ensure its usability. It would make a great shawl or even a lightweight blanket!
• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 7 DC worked in pattern stitch and 13 rows per 4”.
Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 10.5 inches by 9 inches.
• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sp = space
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
* * = Repeat what is in asterisks the indicated number of times
• MATERIALS:
About 120 yards of I Love This Cotton Yarn in Paris in June or any #4 cotton or cotton blend.
A 4.0 mm (F) hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch markers if desired.
