Springdelle Jacket
by Lisa Lloyd
Holding the freshly sheared fleece of one of my sheep is an invitation to dream of the yarn to come. The yarn used for this project, my Upland Wool and Mohair, is spun in a rustic, woolen style. It reflects the character of the hills and the diversity of our flock (a blend of Border Leicester and fine-wool crosses, with a dash of mohair).
This elegant jacket is stylish enough for a night out in the village while durable enough for lugging groceries. The mohair infusion of the yarn enhances the cables. The Springdelle stitch reflects the tidy newly sown fields of spring. -- Barbara Parry, from Adventures in Yarn Farming
