Springer Mountain is the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, a 2,200 mile trail that ends on Mount Katahdin in Maine.

Unlike the AT, this hat is a quick easy knit with six simple rope cables and some knit/purl Guernsey stitches between them.

This hat can easily be customized and some suggestions have been added to the pattern.

So knit this hat and take it on your next hike in the woods!
