5.5mm hook
Any Category 4 Cotton Yarn (Used: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in Jute)
Approx yardage: 200 y / 182 m for place mat, 10 y / 9 m for coaster
Scissors
Tapestry needle

PATTERN & SIZING NOTES:

• This crochet farmhouse place mat & coaster set is worked in one piece from side-to-side.
• The CH’s at the beginning of each round count as a stitch.
• You must know Moss Stitch (SC, SK ST, SC in the next space) and Puff Stitch to complete this project
• Moss Stitch = CH 2 at the beginning of the row, SC in to the 2nd ST, CH 1 & SK ST, SC in to the 4th ST, CH 1 & SK ST etc)
• Puff Stitch = YO, insert your hook into the MS space, pull through. Yarn over again and pull up a long loop and insert your hook into the same MS space and pull through again. Do this TWO more times so there are 9 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all 9 loops on your hook. CH 1 to close the ST.
• Stitch count for each round will be indicated in parentheses ( ) at the end of the row
