The flowy fabric and slightly scalloped ribbed borders of Spring’s Eve cardigan appeal to your girly side. This lightweight garment will be perfect for chilly evenings when you want to be warm…with elegance!

Cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from top down with raglan shaping. The sleeves are worked in the round from the top down.

Sizes:
Women’s XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL): to fit bust 28/30 (32/34, 36/38, 40/42, 44/46, 48/50) inches 71/76 (81/86, 91/96, 102/107, 112/117, 122/127) cm.

Finished Measurements:
31 (33, 37, 41, 45, 49)”/ 79 (84, 94, 104, 114, 124) cm bust circumference, when worn closed.
Shown in size M (37”/94 cm) on 36”/91 cm bust with 1”/2.5 cm of positive ease.

Gauge:
25 sts and 36 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch on size US4 (3.5 mm) needle, after blocking.

Tools:
Sizes US4 (3.5 mm): 24-32” (60-80 cm) circular (circ).
2 sets of double-pointed needles (dpns): US4 (3.5 mm) and US3 (3.25 mm) . Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

Notions:
Markers, removable markers, waste yarn, cable needle, tapestry needle.

Materials:
Fingering weight yarn (approximate amounts): 1210 (1260, 1304, 1390, 1620, 1780) yards 1089 (1134, 1173, 1251, 1255, 1602) m.

For the sample I have used Baah Yarn La Jolla (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 400 yards (360 m)/1115g), Sage: 4 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins.


Difficulty: Intermediate.
Techniques: working in round, reading charts, cable knitting, ssk, k2tog.
