Spring's Promise
Pattern correction:
The repeat is only worked 4 times across the row. Not 5.
This shawl is worked in two parts. When knitted in this way, the lace moves in an upward sprouting shape. This reminds me of the first plants of spring that sprout out of the ground after a long cold winter. It’s a promise from mother nature that warmth and sunshine
will be back very soon. The center pattern of the shawl is flat, which reminds me of the sandy beaches of summer.
The approximate finished size of this shawl will be 20” x 72”.
3 skeins, (minimum 400 yds per skein) of any fingering weight yarn will work well for this wrap.
I would suggest choosing a yarn that is smooth and light in color so that the lace shows to it’s best advantage.
