Springtime Kitties
There’s a hint of warmth to the sunshine, and a fuzz of green on the branches. It is SPRING! I always let the weather go to my head - at the first signs of spring I want to plan picnics and park expeditions and trips to the beach.
Springtime Kitties is a fun knit, with stripes containing a smidge of colourwork, a little gentle lace and a some textured stitches.
Yarn
Any sock-suitable yarn will work for these socks.
I’ve used a set of five mini-skeins, but you can also use a single shade for the main colours, and just a little contrast yarn for the smaller stripes. This pattern’s also very good for using up your scraps.
Sizing
Full details are provided for five leg circumferences (15.5cm, 17.75cm, 20cm, 22.25cm & 24.5cm), and there’s plenty of guidance for adjusting the leg and foot lengths.
Toes and heels
Full instructions for flap & gusset, short row & afterthought heels, as well as round and wedge-shaped plain toes and a pretty colourwork toe.
This is the second sock in The Year Of Catsock Adventures, an expanding collection of eight catsocks released throughout 2024. There’s a new pattern every two months, plus two very scrap-friendly socks at the end.
