Sprinkled Hearts Hat
Happy autumn! Get 50% off of all of my patterns until September 30, 2024! No coupons necessary, just add to cart! Thank you for your support!
If you’re just starting out with colourwork or if you would like to give it a go at a new trend, this is a quick and easy knit for new and advanced knitters! I created this hat with different yarns and they had different gauges. I have included instructions for both of them. Most of the instructions, including the colourwork pattern, will be the same for both versions of the hat.
The original pattern was made with Bernat Roving yarn in Putty (grey) as the main colour and Rice Paper (white) as the contrast colour. The alternative pattern was made with Bergère de France Arlequin in Printemps (multicoloured; translates to spring in French) as the main colour and Bernat Roving yarn in Cherry (deep red) as the contrast colour. The instructions for the alternative pattern will be in brackets beside the original pattern’s instructions.
Example: In the BRIM section, it says “CO 48(54) sts,” where you would cast on 48 sts for the original pattern and 54 sts for the alternative pattern.
Happy Knitting!
