Sprinkled With Kindness
The pick-up should read:
Turn shawl to garter side edge (straight edge) and using mohair starting at the cast-on edge. (this will be wrong side of garter triangle)
After picking up, You will start knitting from the cast-on edge and end with the I-cord edge. This will now be the right side of lace triangle.
Monsterknits is 5 years old!!!!
For the last 5 years, I have been Sprinkled With Kindness
and have been so lucky to work with some amazing people who have influenced me along the way.
Mira at Baah Yarn not only just encouraged me to design but then helped introduce my patterns to knitters. I love playing with her colorways which produced one of my most favorite designs Plaid is the New Fad.
Leann over at Forbidden Fiber and I collaborated on Turn Over a New Leaf, with her beautiful Babel yarn, which is so scrumptious!!!
The Glass Houses Shawl introduced me to Patti over at Yarn Culture, who continues to share my design with knitters at many shows.
I was so honored to be included in Nomadic Knits Issue Ten: Texas]6 with my Kick The Dust Up! Shawl. This design allowed me to play with texture and construction, resulting into one of my proudest pieces. While working with Melissa and Becky I learned so much about how fun the publishing process is!
And then there is Emma of Emma’s Yarn, who I met as she was just starting out. I fell in love with her yarns, and then her whole family, they are absolutely incredible people. I designed 4-ever in Blue Jeans in her Super Silky and have been addicted to it ever since!!!!
Over the years I have been beyond lucky to work with so many talented and generous test knitters!!! I could not do this without their help and support! Every single one has contributed to my designs and I am thankful each day for them.
And then there are all you knitters, who have embraced my creativity and supported my crazy ideas which continue to drive my passion for designing! I have only felt love and kindness from this community!!!
Sprinkled With Kindness 💖 is created by knitting two elongated triangles. After knitting the first garter triangle, the second one starts by picking up one side and then continuing with a beautiful and easy lace stitch. There are no short rows in this pattern, just simple increases, and decreases with an easy joining technique. When finished, fold the shawl along the center seam and decide which design you’re in the mood to wear that day!
