I have come up with the most perfect stash busting project. Ever. If you have bits of fingering weight yarn and you’re not sure what to do with them – look no further!

To get the effect, you hold two strands of fingering weight yarn together. You knit for a certain amount of rounds, drop one color, attach a different one. After another certain amount, you drop the color you’ve had longer, then attach another. And repeat. I absolutely love the striped, sprinkled effect you get.

I called this hat Sprinkles & Stripes because to me, it looked like sprinkles on ice cream when I was knitting dark blue held together with white. Plus, you know, Stripes.
