Sprinkle's Ice Cream Addition
This pattern is an add-on for Sprinkles the Baby Duckling’s pattern and ONLY includes the instructions for the ice cream hat, the ice cream cone and their assembly onto Sprinkles. Sprinkles the Baby Duckling’s pattern is NOT included in this listing. Sprinkles the Baby Duckling’s pattern can be found in my Ravelry shop.
You will have to make a head, body, beak, two wings, two feet and a tail from Sprinkle the Baby Duckling’s pattern. Follow the assembly instructions as written in Sprinkles the Baby Duckling’s pattern for the head, the beak and the tail. While Sprinkles will be capable of holding the ice cream cone in the position that the instructions provide, you might want to place the wings, or the feet, closer together or further apart to accommodate for the ice cream cone. As such, DO NOT sew on the wings and the feet until you have finished your ice cream cone. I hope you enjoy following this pattern to make your own ice cream hat and ice cream cone and thank you so much for your support.
This is an intermediate, level 2 crochet pattern. It is written in US terminology and uses metric measurements. My patterns can be of the following difficulties: Beginner level 1, Beginner level 2, Intermediate level 1, Intermediate level 2. Level 1’s are easier than level 2’s. This pattern is only available in English.
This pattern was designed with aran weight Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran yarn in the colors: Paper White 601 for the ice cream hat (1 skein), Soft Fudge for the ice cream cone 610 (1 skein), Washed Teal for the ice cream sprinkles 633 (1 skein), Lime Green 629 for the ice cream sprinkles (1 skein), and Bubblegum Pink 651 for the ice cream sprinkles (1 skein). Exact amounts of the yarn used are provided in the pattern. A 3.75mm (F/5) crochet hook, yarn needle, stitch markers, pearlized pins, scissors and a ruler are also necessary for this doll.
The average sizes of the dolls are listed below:
The small ice cream hat measures 9cm in diameter.
The big ice cream hat measures 11cm in diameter
This is the length from the bottommost point of one curve to the bottommost point of the curve on the opposite side.
The ice cream cone measures 7cm from the bottom to the top of the ice cream cone. The opening at the top of the ice cream cone has a diameter of 3.5cm.
Note: These measurements were taken with an ice cream hat and an ice cream cone made with Paintbox Yarns, Cotton Aran yarn and a 3.75mm (F/5) crochet hook.
Although this is an intermediate pattern, I have provided many detailed pictures and instructions to help guide you throughout the pattern. Note: You may have to zoom in on some pictures.
