Are you feeling stressed? Do you need a helpful creature to squeeze? This Soot Sprite is here to help and you may need it if you choose to knit on the 3mm needles!

You will need
• About 10g-15g of black textured chunky yarn
• 3mm or 3.5mm double pointed needles
• Large eyed sewing needle for adding decorations
• Toy stuffing
• Small circles of white felt for eyes plus little black wool for pupils

The yardage is dependant on how bit the loops you make are. The longer the loops the more yarn you will need.

This is a very tight knit when knit with 3mm needles but the stuffing is much less likely to show. This is the size shown in black in the photographs.

With some yarns the fluffy quality makes knitting with 3mm needles very frustrating so going up to 3.5mm makes things easier. The white Soot Sprite was knit on these bigger needles.

The size of the finished ball is dependent on the length of loops you make but the core is approximately 4cm with 3mm needles and 5cm with3.5mm needles.
