Sprout Pullover
The sweater I want to wear everyday! Sprout Pullover is a new staple in my wardrobe, featuring one of my favorite details - Herringbone Stitch!
Pattern Construction
Sprout Pullover is a seamless DK weight top-down circular yoke sweater, adorned with a two-color slip-stitch colorwork design. This pattern features a Herringbone Stitch collar as well as Herringbone sleeve cuffs. German short rows are worked flat at the back of neck, to raise the back of neck slightly, for a comfortable fit. The rest of the sweater is worked in the round.
Sprout Pullover includes instructions for a Cropped or Standard Body length.
Suggested Needles & Notions
• US 11 / 8 mm, 16 – 24” / 41 – 61 cm circulars or size needed (for herringbone gauge)
• US 9 / 5.5 mm, 24” & 32” / 61 & 81 cm (or longer) circulars or size needed for stockinette gauge (main needles)
• US 7 / 4.5 mm, 32” / 81 cm (or longer) circulars or two sizes smaller than main needles (twisted rib hem)
Note: I suggest using interchangeable needles which will allow you to use a smaller size LHN for the herringbone stitch sections. This will not affect gauge but makes herringbone easier to work.
• DPNs or circulars in both sizes for working small circumferences (sleeves)
• Distinct BOR marker plus 3 additional markers
• Darning needle, scissors, waste yarn
Gauge Information (measured post blocking)
