Sprouting Brioche Baby Blanket
This is a unique brioche blanket. Construction begins in the center using the magic loop method. Then increases, eventually knitting in the round on 2 circular needles. The final measurements are a ruffling 25” x 25” at it’s longest and widest points, with flat space in the center (without ruffling) that measures 16-18” depending on how the blanket lays. The increases are simple to follow with placed stitch markers. Two different weight yarns are used to create a more delicate brioche fabric.
This blanket is newborn/infant size. Perfect for strollers, car seats, tummy time, snuggles, sensory play, or even a photo prop.
I highly recommend knitting this in a natural fiber which blossoms beautifully once blocked. Use of synthetic fibers will result in a smaller blanket.
