The contrast color slip stitch pattern on the top of the foot is worked back and forth and the main color is worked around the foot, avoiding elf toes from the tight row gauge of the slip stitch pattern.

The pattern uses about 2 balls of main color and about 1 oz/100 yds of contrast yarn.

I could not see a good way to chart the patterns, so they are written out, with close up photos next to them.
