This Sprouts Shawl is a lovely lightweight accessory to have on hand when a chill is in the air.

This project involves a square motif that is worked using Breakaway Crochet techniques. This means that all squares are worked continuously and JAYG - so NO sewing and NO yarn tails.

When joined together, the square motif makes a very interesting visual effect, appearing almost as an all-over stitch. Each square includes 3 types of picots that resemble little sprouts that are just emerging in a new garden, hence the name.

Shawl measures 50” x 16” (127cm x 40cm). It is very easy to modify the size of the shawl and you will need 2 balls of Holst Garn “Coast”, but if you want to make the shawl bigger then it’s a good idea to have 3 balls on hand.
