Yarn: Yardage will vary based on foot size, and taller socks will require more yardage.

For sizes small and medium:
Main color: Approximately 200 yards of fingering weight yarn
Contrast Color 1: 80 yards
Contrast Color 2: 80 yards
For size large:
Main color: 200 yards of fingering weight yarn
Contrast Color 1: 100 yards
Contrast Color 2: 100 yards

My sample was knit in Kettle + Hearth Fibers yarn, on the Embers Fingering base (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon) in the following colors:
Main Color: Sugar Plum 400 yards/100g skein
Contrast Color 1: Plum, 80 yards/20g skein
Contrast Color 2: Teal, 80 yards/20g skein

Sizes: S (M, L) based on foot circumferences of 8-9” (9-10”, 10-11”) or 20.32-22.86 (22.86-25.4, 25.4-27.94) cm.
Please note these are based on foot circumference, not shoe size. Choose a size with 1-2” or 2.5-5 cm of negative ease to get your best fit. You will knit to the length needed for your foot length.

Needles: US 1/2.25 mm 9” circulars, plus US 1/2.25 mm needles with a long cord to close the toe, US 2/2.75 mm or US 3/3.25 mm for the braid and colorwork sections, or the sizes needed to meet gauge.

Notions: 2 stitch markers (BOR marker should be distinct), waste yarn or stitch holders, darning needles, scissors, sock ruler (optional).

Gauge: 32 stitches, 56 rows over 4”/10 cm in stockinette
