I used a small amount of each colour A, B, and C and a little more for D which included the top of the hat. This is a great stash buster. Exact amounts I used for each colour:

A - rust 11g, .38 oz, 19 yards
B - brown 23 g, .81 oz, 40.5 yards
C - Dark Grey 4 g, .14 oz, 20.5 yards
D - Light Grey 46 g, 1.62 oz, 81 yards

I used a 10 inch plate to block the hat, giving it it’s classic tam shape.
