Spurtle Cardigan
The Spurtle Cardigan is inspired by traditional Guernseys and Ganseys of the British Isles. It is a relaxed and timeless piece featuring all over texture: diamonds, cables, and basket stitch. This is the sweater you bring with you for your midwinter bonfire or to howl at the moon on stormy cliffs by the sea. Alternatively, something to wear while writing love letters by the window and waiting for your lover to return from across the waves … the options are truly endless.
The sleeves and body are knit separately from the bottom up and joined at the underarm. The sleeves are knit in the round and the body is knit flat on circular needles. The buttonband and buttonholes are worked at the same time as the body. The yoke is designed as a raglan and the collar is knit without short row shaping.
Available in eight sizes to fit 30 (34, 38, 42) (46, 50, 54, 58) inch // 76 (86, 97, 107) (117, 127, 137, 147) centimetre body circumference with a built in 4 inch // 10 centimetre ease.
