Square-a-Day Blanket
Pattern Description from Faith, Hope, Love, Knitting: “This blanket was designed specifically with the idea of a knitter’s vacation in mind. Knitters are always looking for an excuse to stop at every yarn show we pass by, and by using this approach, you can buy one skein in every store, every day of your trip, knit it immediately (without even swatching for gauge!), and return home with a blanket-sizes journal of your trip.”

Notes: Work this blanket one square at a time, while on a trip. It’s fun to buy just a skein of yarn here and there as souvenirs of different locations, then knit just one square each day and sew them together each evening back in your hotel room. By the time you get home, you’ll have a whole blanket (or good stat on one!) and memories locked up in a beautiful memory to treasure and remember your trip.
Colors: Divide the yarn into light, medium, and dark colors. Use one of each group for each square, starting at the corner and working increases until the sides measure 12”. For the lighter weight yarns, use two strands.
