Square Dance
I just love knitting geometric patterns. I used to knit geometric patterns as I walked around knitting. The patterns just seem to flow from the knitting needles. I never wrote them down and they were almost impossible for me to go back and recreate them. Square Dance is my first attempt to sit down and knit a geometric pattern. I kept it simple by just working with different size squares and rectangles.
This is a one size pattern, 4’ 6” long by 6” wide. I used 1 skein of worsted weight yarn at 200 yards. Since this is a busy pattern I suggest a solid color yarn. If you wish to make it longer just buy an extra skein and Knit Rows 5 to 28 as many additional times as you would like.
The stitch markers are very important for this pattern. They will help you keep your place.
