Square-leg chair sock
Note: This pattern uses crochet and knitting techniques.
Even square legs deserve square socks!
This pattern is for a seamless, square-legged chair sock in Aran weight yarn, but any yarn weight can be used by adjusting the stitch count, number of rounds and/or the needle size. My sample sock fits a Pottery Barn® kitchen chair with a square-leg circumference of about 4½”.
To complete the sock, you’ll crochet a square base and then pick up stitches around the square and knit in the round to create the sides and a ribbed cuff. Tutorial links are provided for magic ring, crochet a square and bind off options.
