This is an insertion pattern that could be used for various knitted projects. Or with any weight of yarn if you used the appropriately sized needle for said yarn. The yarn used in the picture is Aran weight using 5 ½ mm needles. The sample shown is worked on a flat piece, worked back and forth.

Don’t worry about the gauge as described in the outline. It’s partially based on my sample - 2 repeats of pattern = 5 inches.
