This little hat is quick to make and is adorable for those special newborn photos or just for fun!

The pattern uses a variation of the single crochet ‘seed stitch’ and uses the following stitches – chains, single crochet and slip stitches. The bottom edge trim is done using a reverse single crochet (also called the crab stitch). Directions are in the pattern for the reverse single crochet.

The 12 months size hat uses 3 ounces (85 grams, 145 yards) of worsted weight yarn.
