Vest is worked from the bottom up in two pieces and seamed together. Armhole and neck edgings are added to the Vest after assembly. When changing colors in the Checkerboard pattern, on the last stitch before a color change, work the stitch up until the last step with the old color, work the final pull-through with the new color. Carry unused color to the wrong side of the work. Do not crochet over the unused strand as in tapestry crochet.
