These squares are incredibly versatile. You can use all your imagination and creativity and create very different and individual blankets or accessories with them, e.g. sofa blankets, baby blankets, pet blankets, potholders, table runners, pillow cases, place mats, … Besides, it is really fun to knit them. I am looking forward to seeing your projects – please upload pictures, that would be really great!

This pattern includes 12 different motifs (lucky clover, bird, BABY, LOVE, heart, lucky beetle, baby feet, paw, cats, fish, angel, butterfly) as well as all letters A-Z and Ä, Ö, Ü.

You will get very detailed instructions on how to knit the squares and crochet them together, including some ideas how to arrange the squares. Additionally you will get a knitting chart and row-by-row instructions for all motifs and all letters.

The size of your finished project is very individual, depending on the number of squares you use. The size of the squares depends on the yarn.

  • You can basically use any yarn suitable for your project
  • Yarn consumption per square: approx. 28-35 m
  • e.g. Austermann Merino 160 (160 m / 50 gr, 100 % wool) = 9 gr per square
  • e.g. Paintbox Yarns Simply DK (276 m / 100 gr, 100 % acryl) = 10 gr per square
  • e.g. Drops Paris (75 m / 50 gr, 100 % cotton) = 23 gr per square
  • additional yarn for crocheting the squares together; consumption depends on the number of squares
  • needles 3-4 mm (depending on the yarn)
  • crochet hook 3-4 mm (depending on the yarn)
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors
