Squashed Cow door stopper
From the creator of the Squashed Frog Door Stopper…
I’m excited to introduce my latest design: The Squashed Cow Door Stopper!
My little cow has some cool interactive features that are sure to make you giggle –
it slides under the door, can be rolled into a seated position, and has an adjustable tongue that can tuck into its throat for a shorter length. Plus, you can even thread its tongue through its nose for added fun!
I hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it!
This complete pattern is an intermediate level, low sew project and has YouTube links for additional help if required.
It includes 3 options for ear shape and 2 options for eyes, including safety eyes (safety hazard for children under 3) and small child friendly dizzy eyes.
To change the size of your little cow, use thicker or thinner yarn and corresponding hook.
Materials needed:
Stuffing or denim scraps for head, horns, eyes, & legs
Heavy stuffing for clod of earth e.g. cut up denim
Optional: 22 mm safety eye (safety hazard) Needle & scissors
Ball to insert into the body or stuffing of choice I used a lawn bowls ball - 12 cm (4 3/4 in) diameter, 38 cm (15 in) circumference
Other body options - weight ball, bocce ball, tomato cooler containing heavy material such as hockey pucks, tights filled with heavy pellets, etc.
