Squatch - a Bigfoot
After visiting my parents for the summer in my childhood home, the Pacific Northwest, it occurred to me that Sasquatch or Bigfoot is one of the things I always think off when I think of the home. I remember my own grandmother having a Bigfoot sighting!
Many Sasquatch relatives are seen around the world, there are Yeti in the Himalayas and Skunk Ape here in Florida , so I imagine there are more hairy, big footed men stories in other places too!
After returning home to Florida I knew I needed to design the Squatch.
As you can see by the photos the only limit is your imagination with colors! I used Buttercream by Luxe Craft - Rainbow Boucle in Brown Mustard, Black & Brights and Slates & Pinks ( weight 4 yarn Distributed by Jo-ann Stores) I used red Heart Super Saver for the feet, hands, face ears etc. If you are uncomfortable with boucle yarn (it is a monster to work with!) you can use any weight 4 yarn you like.
The pink eyes on the Purple Squatch are 25mm.
This pattern is an intermediate level pattern. You need to feel comfortable with written directions. I am happy to help anyone along the way!
