Squawks the Phoenix
Crochet your own Squawks the Phoenix with this pattern. Squawks will make a great addition to any young wizard’s collection.
Like all legends, the stories of the phoenix vary. Some legends claim the phoenix has magical healing powers found in its the ashes. Almost all say it represents the nature of rebirth and eternal life. Still others claim it is the Keeper of the Fires of Creation. The Phoenix are credited with possessing many magical properties including immortality, healing powers, teleportation and super strength.
Apprx. Size: 8” (apprx. 12” from top of head to bottom of tail feathers)
Requires knowledge of the following crochet stitches and some basic sewing skills.
CH – Chain
DC - Double Crochet
DEC – Decrease - instruction included in pattern
HDC- Half Double Crochet
SC –Single crochet
Slip stitch
TR – Triple Crochet
Materials Needed:
Medium weight cotton or acrylic yarn
Red – body color (apprx. 100 gms)
Orange/Yellow – wings/beak
2 each 18mm Safety Eyes
White felt
F/5 - 3.75mm crochet hook
Yarn Needle
Fiberfill stuffing
