Squid (Dice Bag or Purse)
Fancy having your very own squid? This little (or large, depending on your whim) bag was designed for gamers to hold dice, though of course it can be used for any items you wish to carry. Bag is worked in one piece from the bottom up and tentacles are added at the end. The drawstring makes the paddles for the squid.
Size is determined by yarn weight and needles: models shown are about 6” long, worked with sport weight and size 6 US/4 mm needles. These require little yarn and can be a great scrap project (just change colors as you wish if you’re using up small bits).
Please note: This pattern does require some crochet (chains and single crochet (US terms) for the tentacles. I am working on how to knit the tentacles, and if/when I succeed, I will update the pattern with those instructions.
