This is an 8 page PDF FILE (NOT the finished plushie) with images to help you crochet BOTH the little reef squid AND the bigger colossal squid! This crochet pattern is available in English only using US crochet terminology, and is very low-sew! (only the fins need sewing.) You will also be provided a printer friendly version of this pattern.

Recommended hook size: 3.25mm if using worsted weight (4) yarn. 5.0mm if using super bulky weight (6) yarn.

Skill Level: Advanced beginner

This pattern is recommended for crocheters who understand the basics of crochet. A good understanding or experience with making amigurumi is very helpful for this pattern.

The reef squid is the smaller of the two squids and will have 8 tentacles total. The body of the finished plush is about 3.5 inches tall (not including the tentacles, using worsted weight) This can vary depending on your tension, hook size, and yarn weight.

The colossal squid is the larger of the two and will have 8 shorter legs and 2 long tentacles for a total of 10 tentacles. The body of the finished plush is about 5 inches tall (not including the tentacles, using worsted weight) Again, this depends on your tension, hook and yarn weight.
