Notes:
This would be considered an intermediate skill level pattern. It is made entirely by single crochet, but
you must have a clear understanding of single crochet increase/decrease as well as color work/tapestry
crochet!

Materials:
You will need yarn, 3.00 mm crochet hook, 2.00 mm crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, 8
mm safety eyes, scissors, and poly-fill for stuffing. Optionally you may need embroidery floss and
sequins to embellish your baby squid!

Let’s talk about yarn!
You will need #4 worsted weight yarn for this project! I used less than 100 yards while making my baby
squid. I used Big Twist Value in the color’s orange and yellow!

Gauge:
Gauge is not extremely important for this pattern. You just want your stitches to be tight enough that
poly-fill won’t poke out!

Other Important Information:
This squid is made in the ragdoll style. This means you will be making two different panels and then
single crocheting them together to create your finished project! You will NEED a basic understand of
how to do colorwork when crocheting this is also known as tapestry crochet.

Abbreviations:
-Ch: chain
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochet
-Inc: increase
-Dec: decrease
