About the Squiggle Cowl
I’ve had this Texture Pair from Bumblebee Acres Farm for awhile now and struggled to find something to do with it. And then I thought… why not brioche? And then the Squiggle Cowl was born- featuring fluffy luxurious brushed alpaca silk on the inside, and soft, art-spun merino on the outside. This cowl is incredibly warm despite its lightweight and airy feel, making it perfect to wear on any winter day. It is also a very quick and satisfying project to make for yourself or a loved one!

Notes:
- How to Brioche: If this is your first time creating a brioche project, we recommend Youtube tutorials to assist! The Brioche stitch is created by knitting or purling (depending on the row you are on) together the slipped stitch and yarn over from the previous row!
-
Instead of using contrasting colors, this project focuses on using contrasting textures
-
Gauge is not important, but you will notice the stitches are on the looser, more open side. This is because brioche is a nice, double knit kind of fabric and holds warmth well without a tight fabric!
-
Your cowl will look TALLER while on the needles, but will stretch out and shorten when bound off and laying fully flat. About 3-4 rounds create an inch of height.
-
This cowl IS reversible!
-
Blocking is not necessary, as brioche holds its bouncy shape well without it. Gently soaking in cold water and mild soap/wool wash and laying flat to dry is fine for cleaning!
-
Now, just brew a cup of tea or coffee, and happy knitting!
