This is a crocheted and felted wool plush squirrel and acorn. This project measures around 8 inches (20cm) tall after felted.

Materials:

(1) for crocheting:
Crochet hook - size I (5.5mm)
Light gray 100% wool yarn
Dark gray 100% wool yarn
Dark brown 100% wool yarn (small amount for acorn top)
Light beige 100% wool yarn (small amount for acorn bottom)
Bit of white wool yarn
Fiberfill
Tapestry needle
(2) for felting:
¼ cup liquid dish washing detergent
Washing machine
(3) for needle-felting:
Felting needles
White roving and black wool yarn scraps
