squirrel cowichan
The Cowichan cardigan is a cardigan that originated from the Cowichan tribe in Canada. They began decorating sweaters using the Fair Isle technique, and this cardigan took the form of today’s Cowichan cardigan, which combines a shawl collar and zipper.
This is a very thick and heavy cardigan made from very chunky yarn to withstand the cold Canadian climate. Because it is a heavy and loose style of clothing, in order to maintain the shape well, it is not a bottom-up or top-down shape that is knitted as a whole, but rather, the front/back/sleeves/collar are all knitted and connected, and the shape of the clothing is fixed with a seam.
This design was produced in one size (free size).
