The Squirrel Mommy & Baby crochet pattern includes a detailed photo tutorial on how to crochet these adorable squirrels, accessories and acorns. You will need to know basic crochet and amigurumi skills such as: how to make an invisible single crochet decrease, how to color change, make a magic circle and how crochet in the round. I have also included detailed photo tutorials on how to embroider the eyes, nose and mouth.

Size: You can use any size hook as well as yarn size but if you use my recommended yarn and hook size Mommy Squirrel should be about 3.5” tall and the Baby Squirrel is about 2” tall. You can also use the Mommy Squirrel pattern to create a daddy squirrel and just leave the bow off (or even make him a bow-tie instead). This way you can create the squirrel family that fits your needs.

You will need:

2.00 mm crochet hook (or hook size of choice - I highly recommend that if you are using a worsted weight yarn do NOT use a hook larger than 3.5mm in fact the smaller the hook the better your amigurumi will look)
Yarn of choice in various colors - I list exactly what yarn and colors I used in creating my squirrels in my pattern you can message me if you have any questions about this. I prefer to use Paintbox Yarn in Cotton DK and Brown Sheep Fine Cotton yarn (for the acorns) but you may use the yarn brand you prefer.
