This listing is for my Squirrel Amigurumi Pattern. This Squirrel Crochet Pattern includes written and detailed photo instructions for a tray and red squirrel and acorns.
I have a FREE written pattern and video tutorial for the squirrel on my website.
This PDF pattern is simply for those of you who prefer a pdf version of the pattern, that can be accessed offline or printed.
CONTENT:
The squirrel amigurumi pattern has detailed step-by-step instructions that are accompanied by many photos of the process.
Photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring, invisible decreases in single crochet, color changes in single crochet and closing small rounds are included, too.
LANGUAGE: English (US) ONLY
MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
- DK/light worsted yarn in gray, beige, and white for the gray squirrel, rusty red and white for the red squirrel, and brown and ochre for the acorns. I used Rico Creative Ricorumi DK in Mouse Grey (059), Beige (055), Cream (002), and Fox (025), and Scheepjes Catona in Black Coffee (162), and Ginger Gold (383)
- 2.5mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2, depending on how tightly you crochet
- Black embroidery floss
- Fiberfill
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle (preferably with bent tip)
- Large-eyed sewing needle
- Sewing pins
- Scissors
SIZE:
The squirrels will be about 6 cm/2.5” and the acorns 2.5cm/1” short if using the recommended hook size and yarn weight.
If you would like them to be larger or smaller, you can use a different yarn weight and adjust the hook size accordingly.
CONSTRUCTION:
The body is crocheted from bottom to top. The little arms are crocheted on. The ears, head, and tail are sewn on. For the eyes, I used safety eyes and the nose and mouth are embroidered.
Thank you for stopping by! Happy creating!
