The book has four unique pages telling about the squirrel’s home and offers the toddler various activities. The door opens and closes; the lantern can be removed for the squirrel to shine with it, and the leaves can be used to play a color sorting game and to develop fine motor skills when fastening them. Inside the hollow, the squirrel dries mushrooms and acorns - there are five of them and together with the five leaves, the child can learn to count to 10. In the wardrobe, there are two sets of clothes to be put on - a dress with a headband and a sweater with a beanie; and in the mesh, the squirrel collects all the leaves to keep warm in the winter. On the last page, there is an interesting game of passing a leaf, and the caterpillar crawls back and forth.
With my pattern, you can crochet the quiet book “The squirrel’s home” and make your toddler happy with an amazing, educational, and very special gift.
The squirrel is approximately 13 cm (5.1 in) tall including the ears and the book measures 20 cm (7.9 in) by 22 cm (8.7 in). The crochet book is safe and washable.

You will need the following materials:

• Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (55% Cotton, 45% PolyAcrylic, 1.76 oz = 174 yds/50 g = 160 m), 9 colors
• Hook size – I use 2.20 mm
• Fiberfill
• Safety eyes – 8 mm (colored)
• Felt A4 (2 sheets)
• Tapestry needle, Scissors, Pins, Stitch markers
