For Local Yarn Store Day 2025, I received the Love Your Store 2025 colorway from Baah Yarn and thought it looked like a party. There was talk between me and a friend about incorporating squirrels, so I played around until I found a stitch that loosely resembled squirrel tails. And Squirrels in Paradise was born.

Yarn:
color A – 800y fingering weight
color B – 250y dk weight mohair or similar (you could use a different color of fingering if you are not a fan of mohair!)

blue sample:
2 skeins Baah Yarn La Jolla “Love Your Store 2025”
1 skein Baah Yarn Halo “Teal the Cows Come Home”

cream sample:
2 skeins Emma’s Yarn Super Silky “Whisper”
1 skein Blue Sky Fibers Prairie #1104 “Yarrow”

Tools:
40” or longer size 7 or other size needed to obtain gauge
1 locking stitch marker

Gauge:
20 sts=4” in garter stitch before blocking

Finished Size:
64” wide x 29” from the long edge to the tip of the triangle after gentle blocking but unstretched
