Disclaimer: I am a total wimp when it comes to spooky movies. I can’t watch suspense, thriller, or slasher genres either. My correlation of pattern to movie is fragile because I get the willies just from looking at the trailers put out by the industry.
Clowns have always scared the pants off me so I searched for a diabolically scary clown picture on the web and that’s a close as I could get. This scary pattern has a surprise ending…the clown goes into rehab, the puppet gets adopted by a lovely group of recovered dolls and everyone lives happily ever after.
This is a pattern I was developing for my friend’s new baby.
It started as a toddler sock for her 2 year old, and I was going to do an infant size…..then I decided to do family sizing. Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL (48, 56, 64, 72, 80)
It’s a textured sock that can be knit with any number of variables.
Play with colour on heel, cuffs, and toes.
Use your own heel or the flap & gusset provided in the pattern.
Like a wedge toe? It’s included but feel free to use your best fitting toe decreases and grafting technique.
Regular mid-calf length or shortie, your decision.
Want to make it very soft and squishy… use an MCN.
Sizes are based on the use of fingering but any weight can be substituted.
XS uses 26 gms fingering and the XL 88 gms.
It is needle friendly, magic loop, dpns, 2 circs, or a 9” circ.
Thank you to the best testers! aslage, Nikki257, fullofstitches, Kuierje, & jeffersonian.
Grab your scary clown movie and go!
