Squish It Child’s Cardi
This cardigan is worked from the top down with the sleeves crocheted directly onto the body, as is the ribbed band, button bands, & neckline edging The hood & pockets are crocheted separately & then attached. You can choose neckline or hood, long sleeves or short, pockets or none. You can also use as few or as many colours as you like.
Skill level: Advanced beginner/intermediate.
This is a written pattern with photos & videos to guide you through any potentially tricky parts.
The pattern has been thoroughly tested by a large group of fabulous testers who have tested every size to ensure accuracy & clarity. It’s important to me that you have a pattern you love. Please reach out to me if you have any issues.
You will need:
Yarn: 729-1607 yards / 667-1469 metres of #3 weight dk / light worsted yarn. Please note that not all #3 weight yarns are equal & some thinner yarns may not hold the ‘bobbles’ well. Recommended yarns include Hobbii Kind Feather, Patons Fab dk & Deramores Studio dk.
Hook: 4mm (G-6) crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge)
Notions: Stitch markers, buttons, tapestry needle, tape measure & scissors
Gauge: With a 4mm (G-6) hook (or hook size to obtain gauge) in 6 row pattern repeat, 15sts x 13 rows = 4” square.
