This cowl is designed with the intention of learning how to knit Latvian Braids. I wanted to make something that was fast, fun and had all the squish. A perfect cowl for keeping me warm the rest of the winter.

Materials
4.5 mm (7US) needles with a 35cm (14”) cable
Stitch marker to mark beginning of round
Scissors
Darning needle
Yarn:
Color A 2184 by Berroco Vintage DK 100g / 266m –
(50% acrylic / 40% wool / 10% nylon DK weight yarn)
Color B Countdown to Christmas by Woolberry Berry DK 100g / 231m – (100% superwash merino DK weight yarn)

Intermediate (this pattern uses two color brioche and Latvian braid techniques)

Gauge
Measured over brioche pattern after blocking 18 sts and 24 rows / 4’ (10cm)
